that just about anything can be encased and made into jewelry, door
knobs, ash trays, drawer pulls, coasters, clocks, night lights, kitchen
timers, sun catchers, etc - I even found a mold for a toilet seat!
So far, the only items that I have found that do not cast well are fresh
flowers and leaves (the heat from the casting process removes all the
color from them making them white or clear) - however, once they are
dried they do quite well. It is important to remember that dark colored
flowers (such as red roses) dry nearly black, so when cast they wouldn't
look very much like red roses. Currently there are a wide variety of nylon
synthetic flowers out there, so I'm confident I could find synthetic that
would meet your needs if you want a dark colored flower in your cast.
Dollhouse miniatures make an excellent edition to a cast and every item I
can think of can be found in a miniature - the only drawback being that
some are quite expensive. Of course, the cost of a miniature would effect
the cost of your final cast.
Photos also cast extremely well and can be added to any type of cast item.
The list below is just a sampling of items that I have already created using
casting - I am open to any ideas you have for casting and will try to make
anything you present me with. Items such as memorials for a loved one, a
wedding, a birth, a baptism, a really great vacation or anything else you
